A professional in her own right, Kayla Amie holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a Bachelor of Science in education, and has worked steadily since she was legally old enough to hold a job. But when she married a U.S. Air Force Airman, that professional background no longer guaranteed a career and steady income.
“Every four years you are starting from scratch. I am ok with pivoting but it’s going from the fact that you worked so hard—being a professional—and having it taken away with each move and it not being your choice,” said Amie.
