Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12500 Sandpiper Drive about 10:05 p.m. on Monday (October 26).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 40s, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detectives L. Jumonji, K. Stringer and E. Torres reported:
HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and met Houston Fire Department personnel. Officers learned there was an altercation that led to a shooting and a male was found in the complex’s communal area. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
