Treasury, Mint Launch FIFA Coins for Military Youth

WASHINGTON-The U.S. Department of the Treasury and United States Mint announce the upcoming production of the commemorative coin program for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with FIFA directing all surcharge proceeds to youth soccer programs benefiting military families in a major victory for the Trump Administration and military families across the country.

“The FIFA World Cup 2026 coin program reflects President Trump’s unwavering commitment to the brave men and women of our military, and the families that serve alongside them,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “Every surcharge dollar will directly support youth soccer initiatives for service members’ children, expanding opportunities that build character, resilience, and community.”

“I am proud of the hardworking men and women at the U.S. Mint that will create these beautiful coins to benefit the children of our men and women in uniform. Under President Trump, we continue to celebrate American pride, spirit, and success during our 250th birthday,” said Treasurer Brandon Beach.

“On the eve of America’s 250th birthday and the FIFA World Cup, this coin program reflects President Trump’s bold vision and Secretary Bessent’s steadfast leadership,” said Andrew Giuliani, Executive Director of the White House FIFA Task Force. “Together, they have ensured that families of America’s greatest heroes are honored on the world stage, reaffirming the patriotic values that make America great.”

FIFA AGREEMENT PRIORITIZES MILIARTY YOUTH

Per law, surcharges ($35 gold, $10 silver, and $5 clad) go to FWC2026 US, Inc., but in a pivotal Trump-era deal, FIFA has pledged 100% of surcharges to military family youth soccer initiatives, channeling collector dollars directly to service members’ children. This ensures proceeds return to American heroes, amplifying support for family wellness and soccer access on bases nationwide.

Under the FIFA World Cup 2026 Commemorative Coin Act (Public Law 118-143), the Mint will produce $5 gold, $1 silver, and half-dollar clad coins celebrating the 2026 tournament, issued at no taxpayer cost.

Pre-orders will begin soon and shipments for the initial orders will begin before the end of the games. These will be on sale throughout the calendar year and continue to ship.
