Alongside President Donald J. Trump, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent will travel to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.
While in Malaysia, Secretary Bessent will meet with Vice Premier He Lifeng of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to discuss trade between the United States and China. He will also participate in the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
While in Japan, Secretary Bessent will participate in President Trump’s state visit in Tokyo.
While in South Korea, Secretary Bessent will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) South Korea 2025 Forum in Gyeongju.
