Today, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent met with German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil.
During the discussion, Secretary Bessent highlighted President Trump’s historic trade deal between the United States and European Union. Secretary Bessent also thanked Minister Klingbeil for Germany’s efforts on international tax issues.
Secretary Bessent re-emphasized that peace in Ukraine remains a top priority for the Trump Administration, and urged Minister Klingbeil to continue the robust security cooperation between the United States and Germany.
