Tampa Police Probe Dale Mabry Hit-and-Run

TAMPA, FL. (August 27, 2025) – – Tampa Police are investigating an early morning hit & run that left a bicyclist with serious injuries.

On Wednesday morning, just after 2:30 am, Tampa Police were dispatched after reports that a silver SUV had struck a bicyclist on Dale Mabry Hwy near Mango Ave.

The victim, an adult white male, was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect, who was driving a silver 2019 Chevy Equinox, with a Florida tag, JUVE12, was last seen eastbound on W. El Prado Blvd.

At the time of the crash, the SUV was reportedly traveling northbound in the outside travel lane of Dale Mabry Hwy when it hit the bicyclist at the intersection of W Mango Ave. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene.

Northbound traffic along Dale Mabry Hwy was diverted at Mango Ave. for the crash scene investigation. Traffic has since reopened in all directions.

Detectives continue to follow leads in this case to locate and arrest the driver.
