TAMPA, FL. (August 27, 2025) – – Tampa Police Detectives have successfully located and impounded the vehicle involved in the early morning hit and run that left a bicyclist with serious injuries. Detectives continue to follow up on all leads and tips as they work to bring the suspect to justice.
The crash occurred on Wednesday morning, just after 2:30 am, when the SUV struck a bicyclist on Dale Mabry Hwy near Mango Ave. The victim, an adult white male, was transported to a local hospital where he currently listed in stable condition.
Following up on investigative leads, detectives found the silver 2019 Chevy Equinox, abandoned, in the 2200 block of E. 12th Ave. The vehicle has been impounded as evidence.
