TAMPA, FL. (July 8, 2025) – – Tampa Police Detectives are actively searching for a suspect believed to be involved in a series of auto burglaries, an auto theft, and fraudulent credit card use across the West Tampa area and into Clearwater. They are sharing video in the hopes that someone may be able to help them identify and locate the suspect.
On June 22, 2025, a black Jeep Wrangler was stolen from The Seazen Apartments at 7616 Courtney Campbell Cswy.
On June 27, an auto burglary occurred at the same apartment complex, resulting in the theft of a wallet and credit cards. The suspect then attempted to use these stolen credit cards at the Publix near Gandy Blvd and Dale Mabry Hwy.
Earlier today, Tampa Police recovered the stolen Jeep Wrangler, which now had a stolen tag from a different black Jeep Wrangler in Clearwater, in the Target parking garage at 1544 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. The Jeep contained stolen items linked to numerous auto burglaries in Tampa (particularly in West Tampa near the Courtney Campbell Cswy and Avion Park), and in Clearwater. Investigators also learned that the suspect fled from Clearwater Police in the stolen Jeep last night.
The suspect is described as a white male with sleeve tattoos, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a salmon t-shirt, blue and white swim shorts, and black shoes. Tampa Police detectives are working closely with the Clearwater Police Department to identify and apprehend this suspect. Anyone with information that could help detectives in locating and apprehending this suspect is asked to call Tampa Police at 813.231.6130 and refer to report number 25-355020.
