Suspects Charged in June Shooting on Robmore Street

Charges have been filed against five suspects in the fatal shooting of a male and wounding of another at 205 Robmore Street about 5:20 p.m. on June 22.

The adult suspects, Christian Brizuela, 19, and Hanich Ramirez, 17, are charged with capital murder in the 262nd Criminal District Court. Booking photos of Brizuela and Ramirez are attached to this news release.

Three other 16-year-old juvenile males were referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on capital murder charges. Names and booking photos of juvenile suspects are not releasable.

The victim is identified as Nehemias Bonilla, 18.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting and found an unresponsive male, later identified as Mr. Bonilla, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Robmore Street and Clark Road. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers located a second male, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence at the above address. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Further investigation identified Christian Brizuela, Hanich Ramirez and three juveniles as suspects in the case. Detectives consulted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the suspects were subsequently charged and arrested for their roles in the shooting.
