Houston police have arrested two suspects charged in the fatal shooting of a female at 4018 Lockwood Drive about 1:50 a.m. today (January 26).
Tajuana Thomas, 38, and Richard Mouton, 34, who both sustained gunshot wounds, are charged with capital murder in the 183rd Criminal District Court. Previous booking photos of Thomas and Mouton, who remain hospitalized, are attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased female, 72, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A,. Rodriguez and M. Cater reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence at the above address and located three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Two other gunshot victims were found at the residence and were transported to an area hospital.
Further investigation determined the suspects, identified as Thomas and Mouton, were involved in the shooting via video footage prior to and during the shooting. After speaking with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, charges of capital murder were accepted on the suspect.
