Houston police have arrested two suspects charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 1807 McDaniel Street about 6:30 a.m. on May 21, 2016.
The suspects, Henry Nathan Ibanez, 29, and Eric Rios, 30, are both charged with murder in the 176th Criminal District Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Emanuel Carrillo, 34.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Watson and M. Burrow reported:
HPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address in the driveway. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Carillo suffering multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Additional investigation revealed there had been a previous argument between a resident of the house and her ex-boyfriend. At one point, the argument escalated between the two groups of people and shots were fired. Carillo and a second male were struck. The wounded male was transported to an area hospital where he survived his injuries.
During the course of the investigation both Ibanez and Rios were identified as suspects. On November 5, Ibanez was arrested by the Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team and he was subsequently charged for his role in the fatal shooting.
On Friday (Nov. 14), Rios was charged for his role in Carillo’s death. Rios was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on Tuesday (Nov. 18).
