The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of the suspect who robbed an establishment in Northwest.
On Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 5:04 a.m., Third District officers responded to an establishment in the 1700 block of Columbia Road, Northwest, for the report of a robbery. The suspect entered the establishment and waited until the victim opened the register. When the register opened, the suspect, armed with a knife, took money from the register. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
During the detectives’ on-scene investigation at the establishment, the suspect was seen outside the establishment and quickly arrested.
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 41-year-old Andre Macray Seay of Northwest, D.C., was charged with Robbery While Armed (Knife).
