Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 10500 Bauman Road about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday (March 15).
The suspect, Ignacio Lopez, 18, is charged with murder in the 209th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Lopez is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Eliseo Murillo, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective D. Higgs reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds in the street. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the victim was walking northbound on Bauman Road when someone in the vehicle pictured below got out and fired multiple times, striking the victim. The suspect fled the scene.
Further investigation identified Ignacio Lopez as the suspect in this case. On March 18, he was arrested. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office he was charged with murder and booked into the Harris County Jail.
