Houston police are searching for a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 11900 Oakmoor Parkway about 11:50 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 1).
The suspect, Demeche Williams, 35, is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court. Photos of Williams, who is currently at-large, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Steven Williams, 25.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Detective R. Lujan reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the male, later identified as Mr. Steven Williams, deceased at the scene.
According to witnesses, there was a verbal argument between the victim and Williams. During the argument, the suspect shot the victim.
Further investigation identified the suspect as Williams and after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office he was charged for his role in the shooting.
