Charges have been filed against a suspect sought in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 11902 Hempstead Road about 6:30 p.m. on August 9, 2024.
The suspect, Jose Sierra, 52, is charged with murder in the 488th Criminal District Court. A previous booking photo of Sierra, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Dagoberto Ocampo, 44.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Waterwall and K. Amri reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a gas station at the above address and found an unresponsive male with a gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined two suspects, identified only as Hispanic males, fled in a red, two-door pickup truck of unknown make or model.
Further investigation identified Sierra as a suspect. On Tuesday (March 3) he was charged and is wanted for his role in the fatal shooting.
