The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in a shooting in 2024 shooting.
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Sixth District officers responded to the 1800 block of Q Street, Southeast, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, conscious and breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injury.
As a result of detective’s investigation, on Friday, September 12, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 42-year-old Christopher Warren, of District Heights, MD was extradited. Warren was arrested and charged with Assault With a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
