Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 1400 Redford Street about 2:35 a.m. on Thursday (May 15).
The suspect, Tyrell Robinson, 21, is charged with murder in the 174th State District Court. A booking photo of Robinson is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek, R. Watson and M. Burrow, and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found a male suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot area. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots before finding the male. Further investigation identified Robinson as a suspect in this incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
