Second Suspect Charged in Long Point Rd Fatal Shooting

Houston police have arrested a second suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of a man at 7550 Long Point Road about 11:10 p.m. on May 6.
The suspect, Keyandre Lejuan Benjamin, 21, is charged with murder and aggravated assault in the 185th State District Court.

Another suspect, Rodney Johnson, 23, is charged with murder in the 488th State District Court. Booking photos of Benjamin and Johnson are attached to this news release.

The deceased victim is identified as Keisha Warren, 37.

The male victim, 40, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective W. Elliott reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call and located a man and woman with gunshot wounds in a parking lot at the above address. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female, later identified as Ms. Warren, deceased at the scene. The male was transported to an area hospital.

Further investigation identified Johnson as a suspect in this incident and he was subsequently charged. Officers with the HPD Narcotics Tactical Team took him into custody without incident on June 3 and booked him into the Harris County Jail.

Investigators also identified Benjamin as a suspect and the Narcotics Tactical Team took him into custody on Wednesday (June 18). He was subsequently booked into jail and charged for his role in this incident.
