Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male found at 6900 Caddo Lake Lane about 6:40 p.m. on November 30, 2024.
Timmathy Elijah Jones, 21, is charged with capital murder in the 209th Criminal District Court. Also charged in this case is Raheim Bushnell Davalos, 21, charged with capital murder in the 182nd Criminal District Court. Booking photos of Jones and Bushnell Davalos are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Jose Rodriguez, 17.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson and L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male lying in the street. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim, later identified as Mr. Rodriguez, deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the male met with individuals driving a dark colored SUV. During the interaction, the suspect(s) exited the vehicle and shot towards the male striking him multiple times. The victim returned fire towards the suspect(s) and the vehicle. Investigators released a surveillance photo of the suspect’s vehicle in December 2024.
Further investigation identified Bushnell Davalos as the suspect in this incident. He was subsequently charged in April and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force
Jones was later identified as the second suspect in this case. On Tuesday (June 30), Jones was arrested and charged for his role in the fatal shooting. Jones was booked into the Harris County Jail.
