Robbery Suspect Nabbed by Fusion, Northwest Patrol

Dallas Police

35 a.m., Northwest Patrol officers responded to a robbery in progress call in the 4800 block of Maple Avenue.

Whitney Morris, 30, and Darian Ventura, 45, had just strangled a man and left with his property.

While responding officers were driving to the call, Fusion Unit detectives were actively tracking Morris and Ventura in real-time, using nearby surveillance cameras.

The detectives gave the responding officers up-to-the-minute information, leading the officers straight to Morris and Ventura.

The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition and the suspects were arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony.

“Technology is an invaluable tool in our mission to protect this city. Our officers constantly use technology and we’re seeing the results firsthand when it comes to identifying and arresting criminals,” said Deputy Chief Stephen Williams. “This operation also highlights the close collaboration between our fusion center analysts and patrol officers.”

This investigation is documented under case number 093095-2025.
