Houston police need the public’s help in identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a male and wounding of another in the 8700 block of Blackhawk Ridge Lane about 3:55 p.m. on May 7.
The person of interest is only known as “Junior.” A photo of the person of interest, who is not charged, is attached to this news release.
The deceased victim is identified as Jadiel Rodriguez, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Nielsen and Detective A. Herrera reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and located a juvenile male with multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Officers learned a second male also suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Further investigation identified a male known only as “Junior” as a person of interest.
