Police Probe Death of Man at 6 Burress St

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 6 Burress Street about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday (May 28).

The identity of the male, 74, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and A. Hernandez reported:

Houston Fire Department personnel responded to a residence in Building 13 at the above address which had been reported as on fire. After HFD put out the fire, the deceased male was found inside the residence.

HFD Arson investigators as well as HPD Homicide investigators responded to the address. At this time there is no evidence of foul play.

The investigation is pending the male’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
