The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the community’s assistance in locating a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Northwest.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Fourth District officers were patrolling in the area of the 3400 block of 14th Street, Northwest when they heard the sound of gunshots. Officers located evidence of a shooting, but no victims were located. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The suspect was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in this video and photos below.
