The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a teenager who committed multiple robberies on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Northeast.
Robbery (Snatch)
• At approximately 7:47 p.m. shortly after purchasing groceries the victim was riding their bike in the 200 block of M Street, Northeast. As the victim rode home, they were approached by a group of juveniles. One of the juveniles threw a bike into the path of the victim. Two of the juveniles attempted to take the victim’s bike but took some of their groceries instead. The suspects fled the scene. CCN: 25152218
Robbery (Force and Violence)
• At approximately 8:06 p.m., the victim was riding a scooter on the Metropolitan Branch trail near the 1300 block of 2nd Street, Northeast. The victim was riding by a group of juveniles. One of the juveniles grabbed the victim’s bookbag which forced them to stop. The suspect took the scooter and abandoned it when they saw a MPD mountain bike officer riding in their direction. Before fleeing the suspect took the victim’s cellphone that was mounted on the scooter.

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court pre-petition custody order, a 12-year-old juvenile female, of Northwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with the above robberies.
These cases remain under investigation. Anyone who has knowledge of these incidents should take no action but call police
