The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man who stalked and assaulted a teenage girl in Northwest.
The victim reported on Friday, June 5, 2026, that the suspect, 22-year-old Daniel Alexi Castillo, attended an event she was working at in Northeast. When the event ended, the suspect insisted on walking her home and entering his number into her phone. Later that day, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:56 p.m., the suspect showed up uninvited at her home and other locations around the District on more than one occasion. The suspect made unwanted contact with the victim multiple times during this time and called and texted her repeatedly against the victim’s wishes.
On Friday, August 7, 2026, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, Daniel Alexi Castillo, of Northeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Felony Stalking and Simple Assault.
