Dallas Police
On March 22, 2026, at approximately 8:42 pm, Dallas Police Officers responded to a call for police in the 400 block of N. Westmoreland Road. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found an unidentified male who had been shot in the head. Dallas Fire Rescue responded and the man died at the scene.
During the investigation, it was found that the arrestee, Fredy Salinas, 35 was identified as the suspect in the shooting. After being interviewed by detectives, Salinas admitted to shooting the victim.
Salinas was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder. Officers recovered a handgun at the location. The offense is documented on case number 040718-2026.
