Dallas Police
On July 26, 2026, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of Singleton Boulevard.
The preliminary investigation determined a known Suspect ran over Complainant Garyk Rodriguez Escobar, 17, with a vehicle after a physical altercation between the Complainant and multiple individuals.
Mr. Rodriguez-Escobar, 17, was transported to the hospital where he later died. Julian Luna, 18, was arrested for Aggravated Assault on July 29, 2026, and the charges are currently being upgraded to Murder. The facts and circumstances surrounding this case are still under investigation. This ongoing investigation is documented on case numbers 108996-2026 and 108999-2026.
