Dallas Police
On August 9, 2026, at approximately 9:11 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3500 block of north Buckner Boulevard. The preliminary investigation determined that 33-year-old Adrian Ortiz had been shot by a juvenile when Ortiz began choking and punching a woman. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, where Ortiz died. The parties in this incident are known to one another. A grand jury referral will be submitted in this case, which is documented under case number 116351-2026.
