Dallas Police
On February 2, 2026, at about 3:55 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Green Cove Lane. The preliminary investigation determined a woman, later identified as Tabatha Jones, 28, had been shot at the location. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Jones to the hospital, where she died. 49-year-old Shanika Battle was arrested at the scene and charged with Murder. The suspect and victim were known to one another. This ongoing investigation is documented on case number 015526-2026.
