Dallas Police
On August 8, 2026, at approximately 6:46 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2300 block of Jordan Street. The preliminary investigation determined that while searching the area for evidence of a shooting, officers located 20-year-old Ricky Johnson, unconscious and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, in the 2800 block of Metropolitan Avenue. The victim died at the scene. No arrest has been made. This ongoing investigation is documented under case number 115741-2026.
