Dallas Police
On October 7, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a Shooting call in the 2500 block of West Wheatland Road.
The preliminary investigation determined 41-year-old Cecilia Simpson had been shot several times by 22-year-old Keona Hampton, who left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Dallas-Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Ms. Simpson to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Ms. Hampton was located and arrested later that day. She is currently being charged with Murder.
