Fatal Vehicle-Motorcycle Crash Probed by Tampa Police

On August 4, 2025, at around 8:41 p.m., Tampa Police responded to the intersection of E Linebaugh Ave and N 14th St in reference to a two-vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, officers located the motorcyclist on the road. The motorcyclist, a male in his late teens, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a 2023 BMW, an adult male, was traveling eastbound on E Linebaugh Ave and approaching N 14th St. The operator of the 2008 Kawasaki was traveling westbound on E Linebaugh Ave and approaching N 14th St. As the driver of the BMW attempted to make a left-hand turn northbound on N 14th St, he failed to yield to westbound traffic, and as a result collided into the Kawasaki.

The driver of the BMW remained on scene and cooperated with detectives.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in this crash; however, speed has yet to be determined.
