Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3119 Anita Street about 12:15 a.m. on September 6.
The identity of the victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detectives E. Camacho, D. Higgs and L. Yasin reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and located an unresponsive male. He had suffered a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Officers identified two persons of interest and they were both detained for questioning. The investigation is ongoing.
