The fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3508 Denver Street about 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 24) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The deceased male is identified as Sebastian Jimenez, 33.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1400 Scott Street and found Mr. Jimenez suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation determined the shooting occurred in a parking lot at 3508 Denver Street and the shooter remained on the scene. The male shooter stated Jimenez pulled a knife on him and he subsequently pulled his own gun and shot him. The shooter remained on the scene and provided information to investigators.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office it was determined the shooting would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
