Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 210 Patton Street about 12:25 p.m. on July 17.
The identity of the victim, 32, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and M. Cass reported:
The male was found unresponsive in the parking lot area of a truck stop at the above address. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates the male had been deceased for approximately 12 hours and in the early stages of decomposition. Investigators learned he had suffered a gunshot wound.
At this time, there are no known suspect(s).
