The fatal shooting of a man at 891 Lucky Street about 3 a.m. on Saturday (November 1) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 21, is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Graf and E. Torres reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting scene at a residence at the above address and located an unresponsive male with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the male had a previous relationship with a female at the home and he had caused a disturbance at the residence earlier in the night. He returned to the location and was involved in an argument with another male, 26. It escalated into a physical altercation as the first male tried to gain entry into the home through the garage. The second male produced a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking the first male. The female called 911 and the second male attempted first aid.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office it was determined the shooting would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
