Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men at 14900 White Heather Drive about 5:45 a.m. on Friday (June 27).
The identity of the deceased males, 68 and 74, are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective M. Castillo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a person down at a walking trail at the above address. They were directed to a walking trail at the west side of the address and found the two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victims deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation found the two males walked the trail daily and their vehicles were found parked in the parking lot. Both appeared to have been shot from behind. The suspect is described only as a unknown male who fled in a white 4-door sedan eastbound from the location.
At this time investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
