Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10100 Beaumont Highway (U. S. Highway 90) about 4:25 a.m. today (November 14).
The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
A blue Chevrolet Malibu was traveling eastbound at the above address while a white Kenworth 18-wheeler was traveling westbound. The Chevrolet left the eastbound lanes, veered into the westbound lanes and struck the left side of the 18-wheeler. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver of the Chevrolet deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
