Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 2200 block of Wayside Drive about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday (July 16).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer D. Jones reported:
A black Lance Havana Classic moped was traveling southbound at the above address when the operator lost control, failed to maintain a single lane, struck the curb of a sidewalk and was ejected. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
