Houston police have learned a female critically injured in a crash at 7900 Wheatley Street about 12:50 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 12) has died.
The identity of the deceased female, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD North Patrol Division officers and Vehicular Crimes Division Officer C. Brothers reported:
A gray Nissan Altima was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed at the above address when it struck a concrete median, left the roadway, struck two utility poles and rolled over. A female and male inside the vehicle were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced the female deceased on Sunday (Sept. 14).
At this time, it is unclear who was driving the Nissan. The investigation is ongoing.
