Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the 9300 block of Tidwell Road about 11:35 p.m. on Sunday (July 26).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer A. Thomas reported:
A gray Hyundai Sedan was traveling eastbound near the above address when the driver failed to maintain a single lane and crossed over into on-coming traffic. The Hyundai then struck a white GMC pick up truck.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver of the Hyundai to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female driver, 74, of the GMC was also transported to an area hospital for her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
