Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 9500 block of Wilcrest Drive after a female was found deceased at about 6:15 a.m. today (September 11).
The identity of the deceased female, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeants L. Ross and K. Bui and Officer N. Solomon reported:
A female pedestrian was found in the median near the intersection of Wilcrest Drive and Bissonnet Street. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Hospital staff determined the female had injuries consident with a crash. At this time, there is no information about the striking vehicles.
The investigation is ongoing.
