Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 9100 block of Irvington Boulevard about 7 a.m. today (September 11).
The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeants L. Ross and K. Bui and Officer M. Keita reported:
A black Honda motorcycle was traveling northbound while a black Jeep Compass was southbound at the above address. The motorcycle struck the jeep as the driver of the SUV tried to make a left turn. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male motorcyclist deceased at the scene.
The female driver of the Jeep, 30, remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
