Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 8100 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) service road about 9:45 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 12).
The identity of the deceased male, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer C. Brothers reported:
An unknown vehicle was traveling southbound at the above address when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
At this time there is no known vehicle or suspect description.
The investigation is ongoing.
