Houston police are investigating the fatal crash in the 14100 block of El Camino Real about 10:40 p.m. on Thursday (October 30).
The identity of the deceased female, 38, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer D. Jones reported:
A black Chevrolet Suburban was traveling northbound at the above address when the vehicle struck a tree. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the driver to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
