Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the 3100 block of South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 4:30 p.m. on September 9.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer K. Stout reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased male on the shoulder near the above address. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Witnesses stated the male was either struck or thrown from a truck. The driver of the truck did not stop to render aid.
