Houston police are investigating the fatal auto pedestrian crash that occurred at 10100 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday (March 21).
The victim is identified as Kyle Springer, 44.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer J. Rincon reported:
The driver of a white BMW X3 30 was traveling westbound near the above address when the vehicle struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the main lanes of the freeway. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The male driver, 46, of the BMW remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
Then investigation is ongoing.
