Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 7500 Synott Road about 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday (March 18).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Investigator L. Ho reported:
The driver of a black Mercedes Benz C Class was traveling south on Synott when the vehicle struck the bicyclist traveling in an unknown direction. The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics. On Thursday (March 19) he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
