Houston police are investigating the fatal crash in the 10800 block of Lucerne Street about 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 3).
The identity of the deceased male, 52, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer N. Solomon reported:
A red Hyundai Venue was turning southbound onto Lucerne Street when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle crashed into a ditch. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
