Dallas Police
On August 9, 2026, at approximately 4:31 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of Exline Street. The preliminary investigation determined that three people were shot at the location and transported to the hospital by private vehicle. One victim, later identified as 23-year-old Trevaun Neal, died at the hospital. No arrest has been made in the shooting incident; at the crime scene, 37-year-old Douston Woods disregarded the crime scene tape and officers’ directions to avoid the area. He was arrested and charged with Interference with Public Duties, a Class B misdemeanor. This ongoing investigation is documented under case numbers 116282-2026, 116283-2026 and 116322-2026.
